On startups and failure

This year is a decade since I had to close the doors on my first real company.

The years since have brought a lot of learning and as a society we give a legitimacy to failure and what to take forward from it, so here is my contribution to the failure pile.

-It takes a special kind of crazy to put your name on the door, and that is okay

-Watch the burn, running out of money before you can fix it sucks

-Know where your revenue and profits come from, not projections, cash flow

-Be smart enough to see the end when it comes

-And if after facing death once, you still want to do it again, that's even better because at least now you have fallen off the bike and bashed your head in
